Propaganda was used during World War Two to influence people to help out with the war effort. Rosie the Rivetor influenced women to step up to do the man's role. Many other propaganda posters were used to influence people to ration and donate towards the war.
Purpose For Propaganda:
The purpose of propaganda is to influence a certain group of people to do something. In World War Two the purpose of Propaganda was to influence women to take the man's role and for men to win the war.

In World War Two, the forms of propaganda that were used are posters, radio advertisements, comic books, and magazines. Propaganda of this time usually had a general message. It was about men going to war, women going to work in factories, and winning the war. They were promoting the importance of all of these things and that they needed everyone to do what these posters ask.
Items Recycled During World War 2:
The U.S. Government asked all people to salvage paper, aluminum, copper, iron and steel, tin, rubber, silk stockings, and cooking fat. They asked people to recycle these because the U.S. had to spare every penny to save up for the war so that they could buy and make war supplies.
